locointhecocoDerek might have managed to convince Pinkie to leave him alone last night (but only because she had to pass on the super-secret exciting news to Britta that he Liked her!), but that wasn't going to stop Pinkie from making sure he felt super-duper welcome in Fandom! And nothing made anypony feel more welcome than a great surprise welcome-to-our-town care package!
Pinkie had spent all day putting together Derek's package. It was full of balloons, of course -- it wasn't a Pinkie-package without balloons! -- and a little confetti cannon set to go off when the package was opened, firing sparkly hearts into the air!
But don't worry, Pinkie knew that big burly guys like Derek didn't just want glittery happy things. Oh no, boys liked wild, vicious creatures! That was why the package also included a set of wild animal masks, a tiger notebook, and a wolf t-shirt. She'd even baked him a vicious dragon cake! And to top it all off, she added a lovely little book about a grumpy donkey, just to show how well she really understood him, because he was her new friend.
He was sure to love it. And he'd be so surprised! Pinkie had snuck up wearing her best beaver costume and everything!
